About Rockabill Shellfish

About the Company

Rockabill Shellfish Ltd is a privately owned Irish company formed in 1984. Its owners, the Price family, have a tradition in the fishing industry going back many generations.

The company specializes in 'Fresh & Frozen' seafood product and invests time, capital and management effort to ensure the integrity of its cold supply chain. The Company's goal is to attain a seamless connection between the seabed and consumers so as to ensure that 'Fresh Frozen' is fresher than fresh and that our fresh product is is the freshest.

Product Specialization

In 1996 it was decided to form an integrated operation involving Catching, Processing and Exporting of High Quality Shellfish  Products, specialising in the production of Whole Scampi "Nephrops Norvegicus"and Razor Clams "Ensis Siliqua". Both products were available in sufficient quantities in Irish Waters, with sustainable annual fishing quotas, to justify the creation of a modern Processing and Freezing Plant.

In 2010 brought further expansion into fish processing with the buyout of the formally known "Union Hall fishermens co-op", which is situated in Skibbereen, West Cork, Ireland.

The Company's vessels fish the traditional fishing grounds off the Irish Coast, which includes the Porcupine Bank - a deep sea Scampi fishing territory 300km south of Ireland.
